I am a retired computer science professional with over fifty years of experience. I taught computer science courses for the University of Washington Extension, now called Professional and Continuing Education, between 1994 and 2004. I have a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics, minor in Electrical Engineering, and a Master of Science in Computer Science.

For a couple of years I have been working on a project building on my Master of Science thesis called "Small: A Contribution to the Mobile Programming System." My goal is to develop a set of resources to teach programming from the introductory level through design and implementation of programming languages with an emphasis on portability and adaptation to special purpose problem domains.

The work builds on the Mobile Programming System and the Stage 2 macro processor created by Professor William M. Waite, now retired from the University of Colorado. My current resources are accessible at:
